Ok...so the idea of getting a floral arrangement put together has kinda dropped. Both flower shops I went to in Snowflake and Show Low were closed (on a Saturday!...guess I forget how small towns roll). I guess it's the thought that counts so send well wishes to Miss Cunningham and her family because at this point we will not be able to send flowers as a class.
I have heard that her services will be at 10am this coming Saturday, Aug 8th, at the Snowflake Stake Center.
Sorry for the mix up. Hope everyone is doing well.
Thanks guys!

Miss Carolyn Cunningham
As many of you may already know by now, Miss Cunningham (who was an amazing English Teacher at the time we were in high school in case you forgot) has passed away. She was found in her house on Thursday evening, I believe it was. No official word yet as to the cause of death. She taught high school English for many many years...clear up until the time of her passing.
At this point I have heard that the funneral will be taking place a week from today, Saturday, August 8th at the LDS Stake Center in Snowflake (up on the hill by the Hatch dealership). The time has not been set.
I was thinking that perhaps we as a class should contribute to the funeral services in the way of a floral arrangement. I will to some checking today with the local flower shop there in Snowflake (it used to be called JoyceAnn's) to see what our options are. I am thinking that the nice big baskets of flowers would run in the $50 range...??More info to come...
So here is the thing...if you would like to send $3-5 dollars to contribute to a floral arrangement to be given to Miss Cunningham and her family from the SHS Class of 2001...stay tuned to this blog. I am going to see if the flower shop would take debit or credit cards over the phone and then provide the flower shop phone number here so that we could all call in and contribute directly to the flower shop....if that is not possible I will have you either mail a check or money order (or if you are brave enough to send cash in the mail) to my address and then I will pick up the tab. We will post a picture of the arragement here (and of Miss Cunningham, sorry I am not at home to scan in her yearbook photo) so that everyone can see what you contributed to.
So...if by chance you check this blog today...help me out...give me some ideas on how we can do something like this. I will get back on here this afternoon and post more info on what I find out.
I think that most of us would agree that if we were in Miss Cunningham's class we learned something. She didn't worry about being the popular teacher...she worried about teaching us something. And I for one can say that she did! She was a very gifted teacher and made us learn! Speaking from experience...my English 101 and 102 classes were a cinch mainly because of what Miss Cunningham taught me. She was very good at what she did.
Feel free to post your comments about Miss Cunningham here and I will let you know how you can contribute to the floral arragement from the class ASAP.
Thanks Class of 2001!

Are you Keeping your Blog Locked up?
Hey Everyone!
In effort to kinda-sorta solve a problem: (which I think the Blogspot owners should look into)
Blog Owners: If you have your family blog on the "private" setting where you have to add people to your list in order for them to read it...check the comments of this post. There may be people you know trying to get in touch with you!
(An easier way might be to leave your e-mail address as a comment to this post so those requesting to see your blog can then e-mail you directly.)
Blog Viewers: If you would like to be added to the approved readers list of a blog (in our class obviously) leave a comment with your request and e-mail address on this blog and hopefully the blog owner will see it and add you to their list!
Am I making any sense? Hopefully.
Hope everyone is doing well! As always...feel free to put your two cents in about our class blog, activity ideas, reunion ideas, questions, comments, concerns...they are all welcome!!
Take care!

As Requested:
(For those of you just joining us...reference the comments on the previous post...)
So there you have it Hunter...it was Homecoming 2000! I have included a close up of those words in print just to make sure you can see them. Thanks for remembering [-sniffle-sniffle-] me. And here I thought we were the best of friends. :) Perhaps we danced together at PROM or something? Ha! ha! ha! You guys are tons of fun! We had some good times. Wouldn't it be great if life were that simple again??
Here is one other picture I ran across in my search...I was so bummed when you didn't come with us to the football game in Whiteriver. (Hey Jason remember that game??? Correct me if I am wrong, but I remember that as the game that Jason DeWitt returned the football for a 50 some odd yard touch down!! It was awesome!! Funny the little tid bits you remember from your past huh?) Then I come home to find these stars on my ceiling and a note leading me on a wild goose chase in the middle of the night only to find out that I had to wait THE ENTIRE WEEKEND to find out who had asked me to the dance. Does the word "TOWNSMEN" ring a bell? Good times! Again Hunter, you are awesome and I am glad we were such great friends!

Ok...Now that we have had our turn I am calling out a few of you to send in some HS Picts from this dance (or any others from HS that you feel so inclined to send in). Shawna, lets see some football picts of Jeremy or your dance picts. Cassie, I know you have got to have some pictures you can find right??!! and last but not least Bekah you started it!! Pull out those soccer picts!! And you, Yes you! The one reading this blog...if you are from the SHS Class of 2001 send in some picts or write up a "memory clip" you have!
Ok Bekah...you asked for it but do you also remember that you were in our group?? Ha! ha! This picture doesn't do us justice! We were so awesome! ;) Top Row: Hunter Lewis & Zonnie Lee, Jackie Lewis & Jacob Christiensen, Exchange student ____? & Jeremy Nelson (is that right? Oh my gosh I am so OLD!) Front Row: Bekah Denhalter & David McCray, Clint Hatch & Charae Cook (does anyone have any contact info on either Charae or Jeremy? Or ??exchange student? I think all the rest of us are accounted for)

A Piece of the Past up for Grabs:

Remember these?? This is from our Jr. year of high school when our class did PROM. These glass mugs were given out to the first however many guys that came to PROM that year. As a class officer or because my parents helped out or for some other reason that I don't remember....I ended up with one of the champaign glasses that was given to the girls and then this glass mug that was given to the guys. So...after all these years I still have it...but in my attempt to clear out the clutter in my house I am getting rid of it.
So I thought before I send it to Goodwill or toss it in the trash I would post it on here to see if anyone else would like to have a piece of the pass. Free of charge!
First come first serve: E-mail your mailing address to snowflakelobos2001@yahoo.com and I will package it up and send it your way!
